Baggage & Packages
What is the baggage policy?
Passengers are allowed to store one bag, up to 45 inches (22 x 14 x 9 inches) in the baggage compartment for no additional cost. An additional personal item, such as a backpack, is allowed to travel with the passenger at his/her seat aside from the passenger’s purse or laptop case. At a cost of $5.00, passengers are allowed to travel with a larger bag up to 62 inches (27 x 21 x 14 inches). If the passenger’s bag exceeds 62 inches (27 x 21 x 14 inches), he/she will be required to pay $10.00. Any additional bag that needs to be stored in the baggage compartment will incur a charge of $5.00. If the additional bag is oversized, the passenger will be required to pay $10.00.
Can I bring my bicycle?
Yes. A passenger is permitted to travel with his/her bicycle at a cost of $20.00.
Can I send a package?
Packages up to 14 inches in any exterior dimension may be sent on our busses for $5.00. If the package measures between 15 inches and 28 inches, the cost to send a package is increased to $10.00. If the package exceeds 28 inches, the cost to send a package is increased to $15.00. The package must have the name and phone number of the person that will be picking it up at the destination.
What happens if I leave/lose something on the bus?
GMG Transport is not liable to any item lost on the bus. If you think you may have lost something on the bus, please contact GMG immediately to inquire if the item was found.
Cancellations and Changes to Reservations
What is the change/cancellation policy?
Change/cancellation requests must be submitted within the deadline requirements for each type of reservation.
Economy reservation:
Changes: Up to 48 hours before departure - $10.00 fee
Up to 24 hours before departure - $20.00 fee
Cancellations: No compensation will be given if the traveler cancels his/her reservation.
Flexible reservation:
Changes: Up to 24 hours before departure at no additional cost
Cancellations: Up to 24 hours before departure at no additional cost. A Travel Credit will be provided.
Can I transfer my reservation to another person?
Reservations are non-transferable. The name printed on the Booking Confirmation must be the same name as the person traveling on the bus.
Departures and Arrivals
What do I need to show at the departure to board the bus?
When checking in to board the bus, passengers will be required to provide a valid photo ID and his/her Booking Confirmation.
Do I get an assigned seat?
No, although every confirmed passenger is guaranteed a seat on the bus, seats are acquired at a first come, first served basis. Each passenger can choose where he/she would like to sit when boarding the bus.
What if I miss my scheduled departure?
If a scheduled departure is missed, no refunds or transfers are given. The passenger may purchase another ticket for the next departure if space permits.
What happens if my scheduled trip is cancelled?
If a scheduled route is cancelled, passengers who have already purchased tickets for the cancelled route will receive a notification via email. Passengers will be given the option of departing on another bus traveling the same route or receiving a travel credit for the unused portion of the trip.
Food & Drink Policy
Can I eat on the bus?
For sanitary reasons, passengers are not allowed to eat on the bus.
Minors Traveling
Can a minor travel alone?
Any child below the age of 8 must travel with an accompanying adult over the age of 18. Passenger between the ages of 8 and 17 may travel unaccompanied, however his/her legal guardian must sign our “Unaccompanied Minor Form” found on our reservations page. Does my child need to pay?
Infants 2 years and younger ride at no extra charge and must remain on an adult’s lap at all times. Any child 3 years or older will pay full fare. Proof of age will be required.
Pet Policy
Can I travel with a pet?
Yes. Pets are allowed to travel at a cost of $5.00 per leg of the trip as long as the pet weighs less than 15 lbs. Additionally, all pets must be kept in a soft carrier at all times.
Can I travel with a service dog on the bus?
Yes. Before the time of departure, the passenger must submit proper documentation showing that the dog traveling is in fact a service dog.
Reservation & Booking Confirmation
Where do I purchase a ticket?
Tickets can be purchased on our website, gmgtrans.com.
How do I know my reservation was processed correctly?
Once a reservation is successfully processed, the passenger will receive a Booking Confirmation, to the email provided when the ticket was purchased.
What if I don’t receive my Booking Confirmation?
If you do not receive a Booking Confirmation after submitting your reservation, please contact GMG to make sure the reservation was processed and to request a copy of the Booking Confirmation.
Is there a cutoff time to purchase a ticket before the bus departs?
Space permitting, reservations can be made up to 30 minutes prior to the bus departure.
